On June 28, 2019, retired MSgt Carl Gilmore passed away in Louisiana, Missouri. Carl was 80. An electrican with the 20th in Vietnam and Thailand, Carl had attended the reunion in Ft Walton Beach, FL and was also an attendee of the first reunion in St Louis.

Charles Whitesides, our First Sargeant, passed away October, 2012, at the age of 93, in Mitchell, Iowa. This picture, from 2009, shows Charlie with his wife Delone.

Roger Groce passed away May 4, 2010, of cancer. Roger attended the first two reunions, at St Louis and Wright-Patterson.

Roy Baugh passed away August 20, 2009 of a blood clot in the lung. Roy had undergone surgery for a brain tumor earlier this year, and was still receiving chemo treatment for it.
During his time in the 20th with us, Roy was a hydraulic specialist. He had retired from the Air Force after a 20 year career, and was working in civil service the last fifteen years, at Minot AFB as a telephone operator. Newburg, North Dakota was home for Roy and Ruth.

Walter "Sam" Spaid passed away January 21st, and Lou Kelsey March 15. Sam was a helicopter maintenance supervisor with us in the 20th, while Lou was an auto-pilot technician. Sam had an additional career with the postal service after the military, whereas Lou completed a career with the Los Angeles Police Department .
Although we are thankful that they were with us at Tucson, regrettably, they will be missed.

It is with deep regret, to report the passing this morning, Saturday Aug. 19th, of one of our members, Jimmy Whittaker. Jimmy was admitted to the VA Hospital yesterday, in St Louis, and transferred to the ICU unit with massive internal bleeding.
